Entain appoints Sheila Bangalore as independent non-executive director

Entain has announced the appointment of Sheila Bangalore as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

Bangalore brings more than 20 years of experience across the gaming, hospitality and technology sectors. During her executive career, she held senior leadership positions at Bally Technologies and Aristocrat and currently serves on the board of Alliance Entertainment Holding Corporation. She has also previously served as a board member of Games Global Limited.

According to Entain, Bangalore’s expertise in multi-jurisdictional regulation, governance and capital markets, combined with her extensive industry network, will strengthen the company’s board as it continues to execute its strategic objectives.

Entain Chair Pierre Bouchut welcomed the appointment, highlighting Bangalore’s broad executive and non-executive experience and expressing confidence that her expertise will provide valuable support to the board.

The appointment comes during a period of increased regulatory scrutiny for the operator. Earlier this month, Entain’s Australian business entered into an 18-month court-enforceable undertaking with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) following findings related to breaches of the country’s BetStop self-exclusion system.
